To celebrate our new collection, we commissioned Sydney-based textile artist Rose Van-Eyk to create an exuberant bow for each of our boutiques! Drawing on inspiration from Elsa Schiaparelli, whose work has long influenced our founder Elise, our commissioned bows are a nod to Elsa's 1937 hue of Shocking Pink.
We invite you in store this month to discover her work (and our own new Bow collection!)
Enjoy our interview with Rose Van-Eyk

In an age of rapid digital and AI-driven creation, what does the tactile process of hand and machine sewing mean to you?
Working with my hands is a way of disconnecting. In contrast to the speed and immediacy of digital creation (which I also really enjoy), sewing - both by hand and machine - demands presence and patience.
There’s a quiet insistence to it. You can only focus on what’s in front of you; there’s no multitasking, no shifting between tabs - just a steady, step-by-step process. It creates space for nuance, imperfection, and individuality - qualities that feel increasingly precious in a landscape shaped by mass production and automation.

If you were to create a bow that best represents you as a person, which would it be??
I would choose an off-white bow (a new colourway coming soon) with a pale gold tassel. It’s not a combination I’ve made yet, but one I feel drawn to - and now I think I might have to try it.
There’s something timeless about it - structured, yet relaxed, simple and classic. I tend to come back to those kinds of choices in my own life too, whether it’s furniture or clothing, rather than following trends too closely.
