INSIDE OUR 2026 INSPIRATION WITH ELISE, FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

What inspired this collection?

The worlds of Elsa Schiaparelli have always been a source of admiration for me, her vocabulary has inspired many objects of ours along the years but the idea to dedicate an entire collection came after visiting her retrospective exhibition at Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in July 2022 (Les Mondes d'Elsa Schiaparelli).

Do you have a favourite Surrealist design piece?

One of my favourite pieces is a lamb cutlet beret that Elsa created. The contrast between the object (a piece of meat) and the result (an elegant headpiece) is what surrealism is about!

Without a doubt, I would have dinner with Jean Cocteau because it is thanks to him that I discovered all the other surrealists (Dali, Eric Satie, Apollinaire etc). His favourite dishes were cheese souffle with a creamy mushroom sauce and a chocolate cake with custard infused with mint leaves. We would invite Elsa of course...
